Our Mission

TIRA is an organization that is not just about being FSU Rowing Alumni. Our mission is to create a dedicated home for the FSU Rowing Club, provide an affordable and widespread community athletics hub, and build lifelong partnerships through the sport of rowing.

Vision Statement

We envision TIRA as the home for student athletes across Florida who can enter into an elite sport because we have made the once inaccessible, accessible. We aim to provide the means for students and community members of all ages to learn to love rowing and improving their mental and physical fitness journeys, in a positive and healthy manner.

Our History

TIRA began as the FSU Crew Alumni, the rowing club team for Florida State University. Our origins began in the late 1980s and continue to this day. TIRA was created as the Nonprofit Parent Organization in 2013 with the goal to build a community rowing center. Today, we are still the beating heart of the FSU Crew Club as well as the home for rowers across Florida State.
